Biography

Damian van Es (born in Den Haag, Netherlands on 12 Juli 1995), better known as Daim is a Dutch house DJ and producer. He grew up in his hometown Rijswijk, in the Netherlands. At his younger ages, Daim was already very interested in dj’s. He loved to watch concert DVD’s from dj’s like Tiësto, David Guetta and Armin van Buuren.    During every party he came he could be found besides the dj booth. After a short period he was standing there by himself. Daim’s first performance was during an open stage at his school. Due to this open stage the school asked him to organize and perform at the upcoming school party’s.

While he had been playing at several schoolparty’s in Delft Daim was being asked by the Stay Fresh concept by Lee Entertainment to play at the next Stay Fresh edition beside deejays like Dyna, Richie Lee and Sascha Visser. This edition was a success and more editions and other party’s were coming his way. After this first club gig Daim knew that this is what he loves to do and decided to give everything he could to get as far as possible in the dj scene.

In december 2010 Daim took part  in a remix contest by Squeeze Music, for the track Bambu by Chaosz (Mike Mazu) & Blasterjaxx. Two producers would win by voting, and two would be selected by Chaosz &  Blasterjaxx. Daim his remix was selected and released on 20 Januari 2011 on Mike Mazu’s label Squeeze Music.

Besides spending most of his time in his home-studio producing tracks, he also was a growing name in the local clubs. He performed several times at Stay Fresh, schoolparty’s and 16+ events like Holidaze. Beside his gigs the local clubs he also played in Alphen a/d Rijn & Zoetermeer.

During this musical trip Daim developed his very own style which can be described as a very broad, energetic, uplifting sound.. impossible to stay unnoticed!
